City of Santa Monica Implements Infor Software
Enterprise management software leader Infor Global Solutions, Inc., has won the business of the City of Santa Monica’s Water Resources Division, providing a range of resource-saving solutions through the Infor Public Sector Suite. Infor developed the software suite to offer local governments cost-reducing solutions to infrastructure management, taking into account regulatory guidelines typical of governmental organizations. The company, led by Charles E. Phillips, serves 70,000 customers in 164 nations worldwide, making it the third-largest enterprise management software company.
The Infor Public Sector Suite consolidates all of the Water Resource Division’s data records in a secure online database, with automated processes that allow city officials to more easily track, retrieve, and report on a daily basis. Due to the suite’s capacity for providing real-time data on water resources and processes, the City of Santa Monica now has the ability to gauge system efficiency and the likelihood of equipment failure. This, in turn, allows for a more targeted allocation of repair resources.
The public sector is one of many fields to which Infor caters. Others include the aerospace, medical, and hospitality industries. Charles E. Phillips has headed the company as Chief Executive Officer since 2010.
