Infor CEO Aids East Harlem Tutorial Program

Charles Phillips, the former head of Oracle Corporation, now serves as the CEO of software technology corporation Infor. He is also known as a prominent philanthropist. Through New York-based Phillips Charitable Organizations, which he established, he provides a variety of individuals and organizations with direct grants.

The foundation recently allocated $250,000 to the East Harlem Tutorial Program and became the chief sponsor of the affiliated Robotics Program. As a central component of the East Harlem STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) curriculum, the Robotics Program works to develop the engineering skills of the young people it serves. The Phillips Charitable Organizations are dedicated to supporting the dreams of low-income students who are interested in engineering, and hope that this new partnership will lead to a new generation of professionals with a passion for the field. The grant funds will be disbursed over the course of the next three years.
