Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts

 

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is a complex of buildings that were developed starting in the 1950’s as part of an urban renewal program.  The first venue, Philharmonic Hall, opened in 1962. Today, Lincoln Center has a total of 29 performance facilities that encompass this neighborhood of Manhattan.
